Hi, I’m Hannah!

My journey with nutrition and fitness has been long and winding. It began as a journey to lose weight and feel at home in my body after years of dieting. Eventually, I decided to go all in and find a way to overcome my body struggles. And once I did, I knew I needed to help others do the same. So I left my engineering job to become a nutritionist and registered dietitian. But my journey doesn’t end there…

Motherhood brought on a whole new set of challenges when it came to my nutrition, fitness, and body image. Once again I didn’t feel at home in my body, had weight to lose, strength to regain, and a body that needed nourishment - all while navigating taking care of a new life. And it wasn’t like my medical providers were much help. One 6-week postpartum checkup and I was on my own to figure out how to handle this new reality.

I had to come up with new strategies to take care of myself and move towards feeling my best. It took time and effort, but using my knowledge of nutrition and fitness, I was able to thrive in this new role.

Entering my second postpartum, I thought things would be similar to the first time around. It would take time and effort, but in a year or so I figured I would be feeling good again. But oh, was I wrong. Postpartum I was hit with depression like I had never experienced before. This made it impossible to take care of myself. All I could manage was to care for my two littles and just survive.

This season forced me to dig deep and do some real healing - both physically, mentally, and spiritually. Along with support from therapy and medication, I dug into the research surrounding nutrition and postpartum mental health. It was a game-changer. I discovered so many ways to support my body that allowed my mind to begin to heal and my body to feel energized once again.

This unlocked a new level of passion to support postpartum women who may be experiencing something similar. In such a difficult time where it may seem like there are no options, I aim to come alongside moms to support them with holistic nutrition solutions to gain energy and address root causes.

  • I have been married to my husband for almost 9 years, and I am a mom to two little babes, a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl. They are my favorite humans but can be a handful at times (husband included).

  • I’m an introvert, enneagram one, and coffee lover.

  • A year ago, we bought a 1960’s fixer-upper. It’s forced me to learn a lot and develop new skills, like installing a toilet, wiring a range, and so much more. Things I’ll probably never do again!

  • In high school, I drove a minivan for a while…. definitely not a cool kid haha.

  • My favorite foods are potatoes and chocolate. I can’t choose between the two. Give me all the fries, mashed potatoes, chocolate cake, and brownies.

  • My favorite movie is The Sound of Music. It brings back happy childhood memories.
